This is a highly desirable Federal Government Agency, that has a key impact in the health and wellbeing of the Australian community, they work tirelessly it support individuals as well as families and communities by providing ongoing support and resources to those in need. This Agency is responsible for the evaluation, care and wellbeing of those significantly affected by permanent disabilities.

**Your new role**
This team is currently uplifting their GRC capability and are looking for a Compliance Officer to provide assurance to senior leadership across control testing, auditing and monitoring as well as risk mitigation.

In this role your day will consist of;
- Design or conduct Cyber Risk Assessments
- Build and maintain controls matrix in line with frameworks
- Prepare reports
- Identify security compliance related risks
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Internal compliance training
- Communicate with senior executives through reports, briefs and documentations

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate experience in cyber risk and compliance under the Australian Government Security Framework, relevant laws and regulations and best practices. You should be able to maintain and develop ICT policies, procedures and documentation to maintain compliance.

Your background will include;
- Previous experience in a GRC role (minimum 2 years)
- Knowledge of Security Frameworks, Cyber processes and enterprise information with an exposure to Government cloud models
- Analysing and interpreting information that was reported back to Senior Executives
- Demonstrated experience in effective reporting and team collaboration

You will need to be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position and hold an NV1 clearance or higher.
