**About the role**

The Associate Director of the Priority Populations Immunisation Program is responsible for the strategic overview and implementation of a newly funded program to increase vaccine uptake in hard to reach and hardly reached populations. The position demands high levels of consultation and collaboration with internal and external key stakeholders to scope the program requirements and ensure it meets the target population needs. The position is also required to exercise their strategic vision to develop proactive and timely future program delivery options according to priorities. The position is expected to actively participate in the development and implementation of the various aspects of the program approach that will ultimately improve the delivery of immunisation services to priority populations across NSW.
Health Manager level 5, starting salary from $161,042 - $180,143 plus Super, with a 38-hour work week.
**What you will do**
- Stakeholder engagement and management to identify programmatic requirements and support appropriate implementation of the program.
- Coordination and management of the various aspects of the program to ensure each component is progressing in accordance with the project plan.
- Managing and monitoring the budget including allocation of funds to the nominated components of the program.
- Oversee development of resources and communications to support the program including review and approval of content.
- Management of formal communications and reporting on the program including to NSW Treasury, the Minister for Health, Chief Health Officer and Chief Executives.
**About you**
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Proven experience in senior leadership and extensive management in a health or public policy field.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of contemporary issues in immunisation, including extensive experience in program and policy planning, development, and evaluation at strategic and service levels within a high-volume dynamic work environment.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and influencing skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, through all organisational levels.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills including a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated financial acumen and experiencing in managing and monitoring large budgets and preparing and presenting financial reports.
