This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
The Procurement Manager is responsible for the replenishment process for internal brands with a focus on acquisition of stock, materials and services at the best possible price and quality, ensuring a steady supply and managing supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with external vendors or suppliers to optimise product assortments, ensuring a diverse and competitive product offering for the respective category.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews to evaluate performance, quality, and compliance.
- Conduct supplier assessments and select suppliers based on criteria such as price, quality, and reliability.
- Create and manage purchase orders
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers promptly.
Strategy and Risk:
- Contribute to procurement strategies to achieve cost savings, maximize quality and efficiencies.
- Report on key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement cycle times.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
- Address supply chain disruptions to maintain continuous operations.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Deliver on individual and set departmental OKR and KPI’s as determined from time to time.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement, replenishment, supply chain management or a related role.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software such as Netstock, Cin7 or other related tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
