The successful person will be able to work autonomously, have strong purchasing, procurement and negotiation skills, a good attitude and positive approach to tasks. Familiarity sourcing the highest quality products for our restaurants at the best prices is paramount.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Sourcing quality products at the best possible prices
- Sourcing alternate suppliers to ensure demand can be met
- Prepare documentation and proposals to ensure that contracts are in place with existing and new suppliers
- Reviewing the market and ensuring that the best products and the best price are being sourced
- Ensuring that stock levels are always maintained
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Working closely with Finance, Operations Team and Warehouse to ensure that invoices are actioned
- Purchasing the necessary stock and having a can-do attitude to deal with any issues as they arise
- Working closely with suppliers to negotiate and influence decisions
**To be successful in the role, you will have**
- Experience in a similar senior role
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
- A strong background in hospitality industry
- Attention to detail and a high level of numeracy skills with knowledge in supply planning
- Ability to think on your feet and come up with solutions to problems
- Valid full time work rights in Australia.
