**About The Role**
Reporting to the Project Control Manager, the responsibilities of the Project Planner is to co-ordinate, plan and control the program and associated project schedules.

You will be required to develop and maintain a contract-specific planning, scheduling, progress and performance management system and to provide planning, scheduling, resourcing, progress monitoring and performance assessment and reporting support to the project staff highlighting schedule issues and opportunities for early action.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Develop and maintain a contract-specific planning, scheduling, progress and performance management system such as Primavera P6 for the delivery of multiple projects in the portfolio
- Monitor and report on the progress and performance of all phases of the Program delivery, including design, procurement, construction and completion of each project
- Coordinate with the client for regular progress and performance reports on client-related activities, including free-issue materials, client approvals, statutory approvals and potential time and/or cost impacts on planned project delivery
- Proactively identify, interpret and highlight risk and initiate action to prevent problems from occurring
- Undertake analysis of program schedule to identify critical milestones and lead-times to support project managers in achieving project schedules
- Review of work processes and procedures to ensure adherence to existing company policies and procedures, and compliance with operational, contractual and legislative requirements
- Monitor the operations and continuous improvement of the processes within area of responsibility

**About You**
Ideally you will have a qualification in Engineering, Construction or maintenance with at least 2 years’ experience in Project Coordination or management accompanied with:

- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, project management and control systems, principles and practices
- High level of computer skills, including MS Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, monitor and report on capital work projects
