**The Gig**

With an exciting, high profile project award currently in flight, a rewarding opportunity has become available for a top notch; proactive; highly organised and practically minded Leading Hand to join a successful and well-established working team. Your primary goal is simple - You will assist deliver a major project across a gas transmission steel pipeline based in Melbourne, by providing continued support to site works and operations.

Based in Melbourne, and reporting to the Superintendent, you will ply your trade to ensure the high-quality construction of all project work packages relating to the Gas transmission and steel pipeline works, taking accountability for scheduling, co-ordinating and supervising the work of all site operatives to deliver works safely, on time, and within budget.

**You will be trusted with**:

- Delegating tasks and overseeing sub-contractors on site
- Assessing progress and making recommendations
- Managing direct labour and machine operators
- Work with CA’s, Engineers and Project Managers as part of the delivery team
- Ensuring all crew members obey health and safety regulations at all times

**What’s in your toolbox?**

You will have at least 10 years experience in the civil/ utilities or pipeline industry in either a foreman or Leading Hand capacity.

You have the gift of foresight and enjoy getting right into the detail when balancing competing demands. You are a great communicator, who understands the importance of building positive relationships on the job, and have the ability to think quickly, problem solve, negotiate, and make decisions that are well-informed and follow a logical trajectory
