Our Federal Government client is seeking a
**Payroll Team Leader **to
***assist in identifying, developing, implementing and reviewing business processes that improve the overall operational efficiency of the team.
**About the role**:
- Lead and manage payroll team to meet deadlines and statutory obligations
- Coach and develop team members
- Perform and quality assure payroll processes
- Work with IT to maintain the payroll system
- Provide high-level client service on complex payroll issues
- Contribute to branch and team initiatives
**Ideally, you will have**:
- Experience leading and managing payroll teams
- Capability building experience
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
- Values inclusion and diversity and builds inclusive teams.
**Education and Experience Requirements**:
- Experience in managing payroll teams to deliver payroll services
- Strong skills in payroll systems, helpdesk systems and Microsoft office products
- Experience in undertaking pay transactions on an automated pay management system
