Our _Integrated Systems_ Operational Unit (OU) is at the forefront of emerging projects, products, systems and technologies which is paramount to Northrop Grumman Australia’s growth strategy. This has opened up a new opportunity for a **Project Finance Analyst **to join the team supporting a broad and diverse portfolio of projects.

Acting as a business partner building strong relationships, you will be responsible for the management of project financials in conjunction with key Project/Program team members. Your duties will include project set-up, monitoring and controls guiding key stakeholders towards timely and accurate reporting to aid decision making.

The position supports Program and Project teams predominantly based in Canberra and Brisbane. This position can be considered in other states on a case-by-case basis.

**Key duties & responsibilities**:

- Project set up and closure including set up and maintenance of cost control systems
- Develop and maintain an integrated set of program planning and management products that show traceability from the negotiated scope, basis of estimates and bill of materials to the project management baseline, work breakdown structure, schedule, and cost accounts.
- Monitor and controls project cost, schedule and scope
- Performs analyses and prepares reports in orders to ensure that contracts are within the negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and CASG cost principles guidelines
- Timely and accurate project and corporate reporting
- Incorporate contractual changes, ensure adequate funding on projects
- Attend and contribute to Customer meetings as required
- Project risk and opportunity management
- Track and report on project cash flows
- Responsible for project system requirements (Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Project, OPP and Cobra)
- Support project change requests and tenders

**Essential Qualifications & Experience**:

- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Finance, Commerce, Business or similar)
- CPA or CA registered
- Must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance (NV1)
- Project financial management experience for large, complex contracts (defence industry experience preferred)
- Experience in revenue recognition

**Desired experience**
- Understanding of the principles of Earned Value Management and Scheduling best practices
- Experience interfacing with customer representatives
- Demonstrated experience with software including MS Dynamics, Cobra, MS Project, OPP (or similar)
- Interfacing with teams over disparate locations
