
Geospatial Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geospatial Analyst to join our Mapping team. As a Geospatial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in processing and producing deliverables from LiDAR data, supporting the team's overall functions. In addition, you may be required to carry out various GIS-related tasks as needed. **Responsibilities**:
Perform data processing of airborne LiDAR capture.
Process and conduct quality control of aircraft trajectories using associated software.
Process and conduct quality control of calibrated LiDAR point clouds.
Process and conduct quality control of GIS-derived products from LiDAR data using appropriate software.
Ensure timely issuance of all project deliverables to support client objectives.
Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal and external departments to resolve project-related activities.
Collaborate closely with Mapping Client Managers and Mapping Manager, providing daily internal reports on the status of key deliverables or activities.
Follow instructions from the LiDAR Manager to exceed client expectations.
Qualifications:
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
Demonstrated experience in data processing of airborne LiDAR capture.
Proficiency in processing and quality control of aircraft trajectories using associated software.
Strong understanding of processing and quality control of calibrated LiDAR point clouds.
Familiarity with processing and quality control of GIS-derived products from LiDAR data using appropriate software.
Proven ability to deliver project deliverables within designated timelines.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to provide daily internal reports on project status to Mapping Client Managers and Mapping Manager.
Willingness to work under the guidance of the LiDAR Manager to meet and exceed client expectations.
**Education and Experience**:
An associate's degree in a relevant field is preferred. However, considerable experience in a similar position will also be considered.
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python or similar) in support of GIS is highly regarded for this role.
