Talent International is searching for an experienced **GIS Analyst** to join our client, a large utility. This role is based in **Fortitude Valley** on a 4 month contract basis**.**

**About the role**:
You will provides technical capability in working with GIS web services and data and supports the business by updating and managing project-related spatial datasets. The role will also be responsible for fulfilling ad-hoc GIS mapping requests and helping to maintain the GIS platform.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain project-related GIS databases and perform updates and edits.
- Prepare maps and data records as needed in response to mapping requests.
- Review and verify spatial data for accuracy and consistency, modifying and correcting database values as necessary.
- Assist in GIS data integration and alignment with the digital strategy objectives.
- Identify problems, issues and risks and participate in continual improvement of GIS systems.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation for GIS spatial data and alignment with digital engineering initiatives such as BIM enablement.
- Positively promote and actively role model the values and behaviours to support the delivery of our services.

**Requirements**:
Technical
- Esri's ArcGIS Product Suite
- Attention to detail and dataset QA
- Analysis and problem-solving skills

Experience
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in GIS, Data Science, or other relevant fields

Demonstrated experience in:

- Minimum 3 years' experience with ESRI products ArcMap Desktop/ArcGIS Pro
- Experience working in a GIS team environment desirable
- Understanding of asset and infrastructure related datasets would be an advantage
