**Contracts and Procurement Officer | AO4 to A07**

6 month contract | Flexible work practices | Brisbane CBD

**The Role**

Our Queensland Government client is seeking more than one Procurement Officer from an A04 to A07 level, to carry out procurement and contract related activities for different values and risk arrangements, provide advice and guidance on procurement related matters and to work with internal stakeholders to plan and complete procurement activities.

**Duties include**:

- Develop procurement strategies and lead the delivery of procurement processes that will form new or changed value contracts.
- Track procurement activity progress and ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Proactively identify and plan for procurement needs through active engagement with stakeholders including internal business representatives and project managers.
- Prepare accurate Executive briefs
- Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle to ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions and deliverables
- Analyse contracts to rectify potential performance issues.

**You**
- Experience in procurement and contracts
- ICT contract experience would be highly desirable
- Experience in GITC/QITC framework and contract development would be advantageous
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in Government preferred but not essential
