**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Security is a key part of ASIS business and we employ a range of security specialists. ASIS is currently
looking for Security Specialists to fill a range of current and future vacancies across the following areas**:

- Physical Security (Level 6 and Executive Level 1)
- Technical Security (Level 6)
- Electronic Security Systems (Level 6)

The roles require dynamic team players who enjoy working with stakeholders, team members and
individually on projects and will be able to meet tight deadlines and work to support ASIS priorities.

**Whilst Canberra based, these positions involve travel to a broad range of domestic and overseas locations**
**and sometimes at short notice.**

**Physical Security - Level 6**
The Physical Security Supervisor - Projects will lead their team in managing site security assurance activities
and implementing strategies to manage construction security risks including developing policies,
procedures and training modules for successful delivery of projects. They will provide advice on security
matters throughout the project life cycle, including planning, design, construction and possession of ASIS
facilities. The role involves establishing and enhancing stakeholder relationships while aligning with

organisational priorities and managing and making effective use of individual and team capabilities to
provide specialised security service. They will also be responsible for ensuring that security elements meet
the physical security requirements and do not compromise the ability to achieve SCIF accreditation.

**SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE**
- Ability to lead and work as part of a team, make sound decisions under limited direction, and

provide advice and support to staff and project managers, in accordance with relevant security

policy and guidelines;
- Demonstrated ability to establish, enhance and promote effective stakeholder relationships to

achieve operational outcomes;
- Proven WHS experience in site safety and risk management, including ability to identify security

incidents, investigate and manage the response as required;
- Expertise and in-depth knowledge of Physical security, Construction security and construction

documentation;
- Demonstrated current knowledge of physical and technical security policies and practices

including the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF);
- A Diploma in Security, a Cert IV in Government Security, or other security qualification training

**Physical Security - Executive Level 1**
The Manager, Physical Security will provide high quality physical security advice in accordance with
Government standards, policy and procedures. The Manager will deliver specialist security risk
management services and conduct activities in support of security outcomes. They will lead the
management of physical security projects, overseeing the construction security of large projects, including
documentation, staffing and risk management. In addition, they will lead the planning and implementation
of the construction security assurance program ensuring compliance with accrediting organisations. The
role also involves managing the Physical security teams and its resources.

**SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE**
- Demonstrated skills and expertise in security risk management, in particular security risk

assessment and physical security;
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to

produce detailed technical reports, make formal presentations to large groups as well as one-on
