W Brisbane located at 81 North Quay, Brisbane City is hiring an Event Planning Executive. In this role, you will be a dynamic individual joining a high performing team.** **Don’t expect to be pushing paper because the Event Planning Executive plays an important role in not only supporting all areas of the department, but also championing certain processes. You will assist the Event Manager or their designate, in the day-to-day operations whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism and an uncompromising commitment to act with integrity at all times. You will be responsible for, but not limited to;
- Management and planning of meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions from initial handover from the Sales team until departure, including the final settlement of account.
- Reporting to the Director of Sales & Distribution, this role will focus on event planning and management to ensure W Brisbane is the hotel events market leader in Brisbane.
- This role directly drives revenue and increases market share across the segments of rooms, B&F, events, group, FIT, spa and other revenue generating sources in line with W Hotels and Marriott International’s brand standards
- This role requires high energy and passion with a focus on conversion and event planning.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role
- Excellent networking and communication skills
- Attention to detail and can do attitude
- Ability to execute and deliver on time every time
- Team player who can achieve objectives
