**About the role**:
Do you have a passion for working with the community? Do you enjoy partnering with community groups to deliver programs and services? Are you familiar with The Department of Family and Community Services Targeted Early Intervention Program (TEIP)? If you are a self-starter, interested in working on delivering program outcomes and activities, then this role is for you.
**Duties include**:
- Develop and implement projects to deliver youth and community sector development as per theProgram Level Agreement with the Department of Family and Community Services with a focus on vulnerable children, young people, families and communities;
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with local community service providers and government agencies;
- Actively participate in The Hills interagency networks and input information on local community services needs to local and wider planning processes;
- Provide technical advice to project officers on specific activities associated with projects to ensure consistent quality in the delivery of engagement at an operational level.
- Develop and implement initiatives to engage and connect community groups in The Hills Shire to identify critical issues requiring attention as well as increasing their knowledge, skills, and capacity;
- Facilitate plan, develop and prioritise initiatives to deliver services and community activities that respond to priorities identified in The Hills Shire Plan.
- Manage the function and operation of Council’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) working group;
- Prepare and review strategic plans relating to Council’s DIAP.
**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 5 years’ experience in a similar or related role
- Degree or Diploma in Community Services
- Drivers Licence (Class C) - NSW
