**About the role**:
Are you passionate about community development? Interested in liaising with community groups to deliver grants programs? Would you enjoy working with volunteers? If you are enthusiastic, have great communication skills and are interested in developing and delivering programs, we would like to hear from you.
**Duties include**:
- Co-ordinate Council’s Community Grants programs including eligibility assessments, working with applicants to collect all relevant information, administering the assessment panel and recommendations, ensuring acquittals are completed to a satisfactory level and in a timely manner, and processing payments to successful applicants;
- Coordinate training workshops in advance of annual Community Grants program and any training requirements for other grants programs;
- Design and develop an annual training calendar based on feedback and data collation that is relevant to the skills needs of Council and community volunteers external to Council;
- Administer S355 Committees including recruitment of members, collection and distribution of minutes and correspondence;
- Facilitate the collection and distribution of information from S355 Committees to Councillors including the annual presentation to Council;
**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 5 years in a similar role with experience in community development context with specific experience in either grant management and/or volunteer programs
- Community Development tertiary qualifications and/or minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
