Salesforce Developer

The opportunity

Reporting to the IT Development Manager, you will contribute to supporting and maintaining Salesforce solutions, with guidance from experienced team members that underpin critical business processes. You will be involved in ongoing business support activities as well as important Salesforce projects and change requests. You will join a close-knit team, balancing independent work with collaboration, quickly learning business processes, and adapting to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.

What's on offer

This is a new full-time, permanent position. It offers 1-2 days per week in the Bella Vista office and the rest from home, therefore you will need to be based in Sydney. 

Key responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and maintenance of custom Salesforce solutions and business processes.
• Participate in code reviews, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and document technical processes.
• Configure Salesforce objects, workflows, validation rules, and assist with data migration and integration tasks.
• Provide troubleshooting for Salesforce issues and escalate complex problems when needed.
• Collaborate closely with the Salesforce team and wider IT department, sharing knowledge and supporting team goals.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-2 years' experience developing or configuring Salesforce, with familiarity in objects, workflows, Process Builder, and basic Apex/Visualforce knowledge.
• Exposure to data migration and integration concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn and grow in a supportive team environment.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proactive and adaptable, comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-moving business.
• Salesforce Platform Developer 1 certification (or working toward it) is a bonus.
• Experience in healthcare or aged/community care environments is advantageous but not essential.
