Our client is an importer of consumer products with a name that is recognised across major retail stores both nationally and internationally. With an increasing portfolio of product lines leading their respective categories, they are now seeking two experienced and dynamic individuals with a background in FMCG/ Retail and/or Consumer Product to join their friendly and committed team in Buyer roles. You will be working in a fast-paced environment drawing on your already well-honed skills in a similar role.
**The main responsibilities of this role include**:
- Build and maintain the company product range
- Manage financial plans in order to achieve sales and profit targets
- Prepare range reviews and reports, pricing, EDIs, Data management
- Source new and existing products from Asian manufacturers
- Understand users/consumers and develop insights to contribute to the strategy & ongoing innovation
- Partner with the Creative Team to plan, coordinate and execute visual merchandising activities
**To be successful you will need**:
- Experience working across Buyer positions for Homewares and/or Pets Products across wholesale or import business -** Mandatory**:
- Experience with developing products and ranges.
- Understanding of the supply chain process and both B2B and B2C.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data from multiple sources.
- Initiative to identify and anticipate business needs and make recommendations for implementation
- Good attention to detail, negotiation skills and ability to multitask.
