They are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to oversee a variety of water assets in Greater Melbourne, VIC. Driving continued operational excellence and efficiencies through better planning, project/ capital forecasting and managing the life-cycle of plant and equipment.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Senior Manager within your division, but working broadly across the organisation you will be responsible for:

- Providing technical leadership, co-ordination and oversight of programs within your asset portfolio in collaboration with the broader business.
- Condition monitoring of assets.
- Undertaking decision-making to optimise the life-cycle cost of assets and services.
- Driving continuous improvement through planning and implementing new technologies or alternate approaches to asset management.
- Building and maintaining positive customer and stakeholder relationships.
- Developing Asset Management Plans, Asset Class Handbooks, standards and management of infrastructure assets.
- Working collaboratively with cross functional teams to ensure effective end-to-end program development, prioritisation and delivery of programs.
- Delivery of asset renewal, optimisation business cases and supporting project delivery to meet business requirements and budgets.
- Providing proactive health and safety leadership in all aspects of asset management from design through to workplace safety documentation and management.

**Your Background**

In order to be successful in this role you will have:

- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (ideally Electrical).
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering that can be applied to the operational complexities in large scale asset intensive environments.
- Experience in asset management and capital planning/ management.
- Ability to lead asset inspections, investigations and risk assessments.
- Experience in gathering and interpreting condition monitoring data and understanding asset management strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills together with excellent verbal and written skills.
