**The opportunity**:
We are looking for a Project Finance Specialist, ideally with more than 3 years of experience, to join our Finance team based in Adelaide.

The role will be based in our Adelaide office with the option to work from home 2-3 days/week (if desired). You will support project teams locally and nationally.

This is a pivotal role in which you will build relationships with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and Corporate Finance whilst being part of a large group of like-minded professionals across Australia.

**What you’ll do**:

- Journal preparation and analysis, reconciling variances, addressing accounting issues and backup in preparation of Joint Venture accounting and Global reporting as required.
- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations for sign off including Fixed Assets, Payroll and Accruals, Prepayments, etc
- Monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances held within the Australian group with international related parties.
- Reviewing profit and loss accounts to ensure accuracy of entries.
- Assisting the Financial Controller and accountants with general accounting duties when needed
- Liaise with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions to ensure transactions are accurately processed.

Some of your experience will include:

- Must have previous experience working in the project finance accounting space, in an engineering consulting environment.
- Tertiary qualifications are highly regarded.
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient MS Excel knowledge
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of work and pick up new tasks quickly.

Whilst you will ideally have previous Project Finance experience, we're also open to talking to a commercially savvy accountant who wants to influence the business to create value or a contract administrator with engineering/construction experience keen to transition to finance.

**What you’ll do**:

**What we’ll love about you**:

- Proven experience in an accounting practice, or combined with commercial experience in an accounting team, within Engineering would be a plus
- ORACLE or SAP experience preferred.
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Excel
- Must have working knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Knowledge of financial reporting tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to display initiative, identify issues and make recommendations.
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in accounting
- CPA or CA or near completion status
- Salary package is 100k plus WSP benefits.
