**The Role**
As a member of the Project Costing and Finance Chapter you will be part of the project team delivering large transformational projects. You will be embedded into teams to track project financial performance and will collaborate with project managers to analyse project budgets and forecasts.
You will ensure accurate cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting for major ICT projects, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. As part of DDG, the Digital Capability Division and Military Systems and Enterprise Systems Divisions’ plan, deliver and enhance ICT capabilities that meet Defence's needs and ensure Defence is ready to fight and win in the digital age. Members of the Project Cost & Finance Chapter will work with projects in those Divisions to deliver ICT capability for Defence.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in costing activities for business cases and ICT projects.
- Ability to assist in the management of finances for large programs and/or projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated high level communication, and stakeholder engagement management skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and be approachable.
- A desire to take part in change and adopt new ways of working.
