**About NEAC**
The National Energy Analysis Centre (NEAC) is a CSIRO-led, next-generation digital research infrastructure that will drive and inform Australia's energy transition to net zero. NEAC offers a systems-science approach, combining technical data with human behaviour insights to support faster, smarter energy innovation. It connects real people, physical test facilities, and sophisticated modelling to support researchers, innovators, and policymakers in shaping the energy landscape of the future.

**The opportunity**
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for digital innovation and the energy sector? We’re seeking a Product Lead to join the National Energy Analysis Centre (NEAC), where you’ll shape the future of energy data products that support Australia’s transition to a low-emissions future.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will define and drive NEAC’s product strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and market needs. You will work at the intersection of science, engineering, and design to identify high-value customer problems, develop innovative solutions, and bring them to life through a robust product development lifecycle.

**Your high-level duties will include**:
- Leading the development and execution of NEAC’s product strategy and business model.
- Conducting customer and market research to identify and validate opportunities.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to prototype and refine product offerings.
- Testing and evolving business models and go-to-market strategies with stakeholders.
- Managing a pipeline of client projects, proposals, and partnerships.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of internal processes and innovation practices.
- Upholding CSIRO’s values and commitment to safety, diversity, and sustainability.
**Role particulars**
- **Location and office arrangements**:Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra or Perth preferred. Other locations with a CSIRO presence may be considered.
- **Salary**: AU$166k - AU$180k per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus 15.4% superannuation
- **Tenure & work schedule: Full time -** Specified term until 31 December 2028; Options for part-time, job-share and flexible work arrangements can be discussed based on the needs of the role and individual circumstances.

**Essential**
- Proven experience creating and executing product strategies for complex digital products with public benefit outcomes.
- Expertise in design sprints, prototyping, and action research methodologies.
- Strong capability in developing and validating business models for diverse user groups.
- Demonstrated success in managing client relationships, proposals, and project delivery.
- A hands-on, strategic mindset with experience in start-up or scale-up environments.
- A collaborative, agile approach and a passion for solving real-world problems.
**Desirable**
- Experience translating research into practical technology solutions.
- Knowledge of the Australian energy sector, including energy networks, climate policy, or net zero initiatives.
