Reporting to the Director, Employee Relations, this role will provide technical expertise, pragmatism, commerciality and leadership as part of the Asia Pacific Employee Relations function.
The role will support a diverse and complex set of employee and industrial relations activities across the various contracts and geographies and will be required to provide leadership and advice to operational and senior leaders within the business.
As part of the ER team the role will promote and implement strategies, policies, procedures and governance to provide a consistent approach to the management of opportunities, change management, and risks associated with complex employee and industrial relations scenarios.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support the implementation of ASPAC Employee Relations strategy including the ER Bargaining Policy and other important frameworks to ensure results align with and support the commercial priorities and targets of the business and contracts.
- Develop and implement specific ER Plans for ASPAC Business units or individual Contracts to address acute or anticipated needs/issues and that are responsive to commercial priorities and harmonise with the ASPAC ER Strategy and relevant frameworks.
- Implement corporate governance processes for the management of ER/IR priorities including the development of Bargaining Plans for the negotiation of Enterprise Agreements. Monitor performance against governance requirements Industrial Instruments, Disputes and Litigations
- Partner with key business & P&C representatives to implement and operationalise the ASPAC workplace strategy and associated procedures.
- Represent where required before third parties (formal and informal) to achieve acceptable and cost-effective results for the company (including industrial/employment tribunals and conciliation/mediations) Employee and Industrial Relations Support and Advice
- Provide expert advice on Employee and Industrial Relations questions, matters and disputes to the ASPAC business units including site People, Safety and Wellbeing teams and operational management
**About You**
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Human Resources, Law or other relevant discipline
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination status with an ATAGI-approved vaccine, in addition to meeting any Contract or site-specific vaccination requirements; Desirable: A post graduate qualification in Human Resources eg, Grad. Dip. HR or IR, Masters of IR or HR.
- Ideal applicants will have 7+ years of significant experience at a senior level in an industrial relations/employment relations function in an organisation, association or consultancy of comparable size and complexity
