Podcast Audience Development Manager

**What’s the role?**
- Lead, conceptualise and execute audience development programs that actively engage current and prospective podcast listeners.
- Own and lead the audio specific social media audience development strategies for our key podcasts and ensure best practice across platforms like Tik Tok and Instagram.
- Divise and lead new marketing strategies outside of social media to grow our podcast audiences.
- Create high quality, shareable and relevant multimedia social content to increase awareness, audience and profitability of our podcasts.
- Build, own and manage the communities around our flagship podcasts ensuring we drive dialogue and engagement with loyal listeners.
- Work with key Editorial stakeholders and social teams to ensure social content and activations are adopted and advocated.
- Stay abreast of social media trends and changing algorithms in order to deliver content which engages audiences and reaches wide audiences. Regularly share these best practices with the wider team for implementation and use.
- Work with talent and advise and coach them on social media best practices and strategies to drive growth of our podcasts using their owned social channels.
- Work with key video personnel to distribute and develop engaging, relevant social video across social channels.
- Monitor and report on performance of podcasts across various channels to ensure we are continuously improving our social media activations and educating stakeholders on best practices.
**Who you are**
- Social media/marketing experience for a newsroom or client/brand.
- A digital expert that is articulate and experienced in social media channels such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook.
- Experience in marketing and social promotion of digital audio/podcasts.
- Ability to use and understand Canva, Adobe Suite including Audition and Premiere Pro social scheduling tools and other social media platforms.
- Experience in driving digital marketing initiatives to grow the audience from strategy to completion.
- Ability to use data and insights to create compelling content.
- Experience in a newsroom or fast paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Loves creativity.
