**Our client is a leading equipment provider to the construction, mining and agricultural industries. They are searching for a skilled and qualified Financial Planning & Evaluation Analyst.**
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
This role provides medium term planning, budgeting, forecasting and analytical processes to support the business in achieving financial goals and business strategies. It creates active partnerships with both operations and management and provides financial planning and decision support to the ELT. Part of this role is to further support the development of a strategic roadmap identifying mid-long-term optimisation initiatives aligned with the Reporting and Analytics strategy. It also includes the analysis of operational and financial data to help align business processes and strategies with financial goals.
Main responsibilities within this role include:
- Partner with stakeholders on planning, decision support and drive business outcomes (identify drivers and measure those drivers).
- Attend monthly business reviews to share key insights
- Develop and implement advanced analytics solutions to provide insights and support decisions related to the business performance improvements
- Responsibility for the development of the tools as required, timetable and processes for monthly and quarterly forecasts and modelling of all aspects of the planning function (using Excel)
- Assist the business in the development of key initiatives included in the forecasts including risks and opportunities outside of the forecast
- Provide commercial support, analysis and commentary on progress of key initiatives versus budget
- Make decisions around modelling, analysing and interpreting information to produce reports and deliver presentations; and also related to the identification and prioritisation of business optimisation analysis and activities
- Provide appropriate recommendations for business strategy and planning to support the delivery of the business plan & strategy
- Make recommendations around the outcomes from analytical insights to the key stakeholders, propose recommendations to enhance business performance, and suggest cross-departmental efficiencies and COI
- Suggest business planning-related recommendations, including business KPIs and strategic program activities
- Work cross-functionally with all key stakeholders to support, track and report the business financial performance against targets; and also to identify process improvements and business opportunities
**ABOUT YOU**
- Bachelor of Commerce (or similar); CA/CPA qualified
- Minimum 5 years’ post qualification experience, including business partnering experience in a large and complex organisation, and demonstrated data analysis experience
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to handle complex data from multiple sources
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills to effectively resolve issues in the workplace
- Natural curiosity for driving operational excellence and previous exposure and evidence of successful change initiatives
- Outstanding communication skills, with an ability to effectively consult and negotiate with stakeholders, build positive relationships, and to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
