A unique opportunity to manage an agricultural asset portfolio has become available through internal promotion. As a senior member of the leadership team, you will drive the performance of a southern aggregation of assets, building value and growing profitability for investors.

This opportunity would best suit a leader with a comprehensive understanding of Australian agriculture, capable of guiding a team of farm/orchard managers in managing development projects.

Details

Reporting directly to the CEO or COO, the Portfolio Manager will provide oversight and support, managing agricultural assets within their assigned southern Australia portfolio. This position will implement best management practices and safe operations, maintain company culture, and adhere to operational budgets to maximise profitability.

Key responsibilities include:

- End-to-end operational management of a portfolio of agricultural properties
- Oversight & leadership of property managers
- Drive strong portfolio growth outcomes & identify areas for improvement
- Manage operational costs against portfolio budgets
- Maintain relationships with employees & senior management, enhancing retention & team culture
- Lead the implementation of company business strategy, objectives & plans

Experience & Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Agribusiness, Agriculture or Commerce
- Proven experience in managing & mentoring farm managers
- Experience in managing development projects in agricultural investments
- Commercial acumen with sound numeracy & financial management skills
- Competency in managing budgets within agricultural production
- Highly developed interpersonal & communication skills
