
Program Leader

**In this role you will**:
- Facilitate safe and quality experiences for individuals and groups in sport and recreation activities and programs at the Venue.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of a broad range of community-based programs and other initiatives, to increase the participation of Queenslanders in sport and recreation programs.
- Implement risk management practices associated with providing sport and recreation activities to the public.
- Assist with the development and implementation of activity specific policies and procedures for the safe, efficient and effective running of the Venue's programs and activities.
- Ensure that activities are delivered in compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, industry regulations and standards, and the state wide program framework.
- Deliver appropriate standards of client service and relationship management within the Venue and local community.
- Maintain effective administrative systems and procedures in relation to program reporting and workplace health and safety, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure that accompanying teachers / group leaders have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities at induction and while conducting activities at the Venue.
- Undertake administrative and program related duties as required.
- Contribute to a workplace culture based on values and behaviours which maintain a positive work environment that is safe, healthy, diverse, respectful and inclusive.
Eligibility
**To be eligible for employment to this role you must possess**:
Citizenship/Visa Requirements
You must be an Australian citizen, have permanent residency status or a visa permitting you to work in Australia. If you are not an Australian citizen you will need to provide evidence of your residency status or visa, with your right to work (including any conditions / restrictions). You are required to notify the department if your right to work in Australia ceases.
Licences
This role undertakes travel to city, regional and remote locations and requires a current driver's licence. You will need to provide a copy of your driver's licence prior to engagement.
**Qualifications**:
You must hold current First Aid and CPR certificate. You will need to provide a copy of your qualifications, with originals sighted prior to engagement.
Formal qualifications in outdoor recreation are not mandatory for the role, however would be highly regarded.
Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
This role provides education, coaching and/or support services to children and young people and requires a valid Blue Card with the department. You will need to provide a copy of your blue card, which will be validated prior to engagement.
