**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Finance Manager - Management Accounting, the Assistant Cost Analyst will checking & controlling of accounts & payments of Charter, Bunker, Insurance cost of chartered vessels and owned vessels, and Customer Rebate payments.
**The role and responsibilities will include**:
Invoicing and follow up of Port /Stevedore rebates
Processing of Cargo Insurance Claims from finance perspective
Bunker Stock Verification
Processing Netting Settlements
Inter Company Declaration
Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
Preparation and submission of various reports / schedules / statement to various external / internal parties and Head office as required
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
Degree qualified in Accounting
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Accounting / Costing
Highly developed computer and spreadsheet skills, advanced level of Excel is required
Experience in the shipping industry is desirable
Ability to communicate and deal with staff at all levels of the business
Good numeracy skills with logical and strategic thinking
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
