The part-time position is based on four days per week and is a shift work position. While the hours are primarily worked Monday through Friday some weekend work will be required.

**The primary objectives of the position are**:

- To supervise the front of house operations and service delivery of a fine dining restaurant to ensure the delivery of a quality service; and
- To assist with supervision of daily operations of a variety of food and beverage trading areas (Dining and Function rooms, Bars, etc.) within the Parliamentary precinct.

**The duties and responsibilities of the position include**:

- Supervise the front of house operations of a fine dining restaurant.
- Supervise the day to day operations of a variety of food and beverage trading areas (Dining and Function rooms, Bars, etc).
- Liaise with Function Coordinators and the Executive Chef in the delivery of services in trading areas.
- Undertake daily reconciliation of cash registers.
- Undertake the ordering of prepared items from internal stores, and carry out stock-takes.
- Assist with the training of new employees.
- Provide leadership, support and training to other Catering Services staff.
