We have an exciting opportunity available for motivated **full-time** **Leading Hands **for our Wash, Equipment and Makeup areas of our operations based at both our **Brisbane Airport North and South** facilities.

**What does a typical day look like?**

You will be leading our operational employees within the dnata catering unit. The position will have the responsibility for ensuring the delivery of service to our customers in line with operational schedules and safety requirements.

- Supervising the operation of a shift within a designated work area to ensure proper work flow and accuracy.
- Lead by example and perform all the duties of a Line Supervisor.
- Supervise, train, and induct workers within a designated work area.
- Provide leadership and demonstrate strong time management
- Organise and coordinate work within the designated work area ensuring safety first.
- Responsible for managing downtime and effective labour/machine utilisation.
- Track the team's activities and complete the required reports appropriately and on time as required.
- Maintains the company’s policy in relation to HALAL, HACCP, food handling and WHS in accordance with company policy.
- Performs administrative documentation and reporting duties as required.
- Able to work in other areas of the unit for part or whole of shift basis to meet operational demands.

***What do you need to be successful in securing this role?**
- Be a current dnata catering employee with at least six months experience
- Must have an exemplary work performance record
- First Aid Certificate and WHS qualifications preferred.
- Flexibility to work around flight schedules is essential (7 day per week operation).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks.
- As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
