**Accounts Payable & Receivable Officer**

Our client is on the lookout for a self motivated, pro-active and organised individual who loves being in control of AR/AP accounts and being part of a small team.

Reporting to the (CFO) Chief Financial Officer, your main responsibilities will include Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities for the Company.

Ideally you will have 2 to 3 years experience in a similar role and have strong attention to detail with a friendly attitude and who can also work independently as well as in a team environment. There is no micro management in this company.

Working days and hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm with parking available onsite.

**Duties and responsibilities will include**:
**Accounts Receivable / Credit Control**:

- Opening and researching new customer accounts
- Set up and approval of credit limits
- Communication of customer hold and stop supply when applicable
- Monitoring and enforcing the Group's credit policy
- Daily allocation of receipts
- Processing all Accounts Receivable invoices & credit notes into the General Ledger
- Managing the approval and processing of credit notes
- Using our customer’s portals to upload invoices for payment
- Managing collections from customers on a daily basis
- Minimization of bad and doubtful debts
- Liaising with other parts of the business to ensure disputes are handled promptly and in a professional manner
- Chasing up and clearing of old unpaid amounts.
- Monthly reconciliation of key customer statements.

**Accounts Payable**:

- Ensure that all supplier invoices are approved by the relevant manager and within Company guidelines
- Processing of all accounts payable invoices into the General Ledger in a timely manner
- Ensure that all invoices due are included in the EFT payment run '
- Perform monthly reconciliations of key supplier accounts
- Other ad hoc reports as instructed by CFO
