Canning Vale WA, Australia 3A FOODS Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement.
  • Maintain continuous liaison with the external accountant by providing proper and accurate data for timely submission of the financial reports to comply with the regulatory requirement.
  • Conduct variance analysis and financial performance reviews.
  • Cost control and analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling cash flow projections.
  • Prepare and submit GST/BAS returns, tax payments, and quarterly ABS surveys.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and sub-ledger reviews.
  • Maintain accounting systems and internal controls to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Oversee payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and administration functions.
  • Support operational decision-making through financial analysis.
  • Execute other reasonable accounting-related tasks as required.

What we are looking for:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting (essential).
  • CPA/CA qualification or working toward certification (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Experience in a food service industry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in accounting software MYOB and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Experience in payroll systems, statutory reporting, monthly reporting, and fixed asset maintenance.
  • Demonstrable practical accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • The ability to manage complex spreadsheets and work with financial data.
  • A keen interest in continuous improvement and a willingness to learn and adapt to changes in the industry.
