**About the Assignment**

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen within the high performing Environmental Division, for an experienced Environmental Advisor. The Environmental Advisor role will drive a positive environmental culture and ensure that all environmental obligations and requirements are met on time and to a high standard.

The position is within the broader Midstream Health, Safety, Environment and Risk (HSER) team, supporting the Senior Environmental Advisor reporting through to the Midstream HSER Manager

Key duties may include (but are not limited to):

- Providing environmental support to the SA Midstream Assets including;
- Moomba Plant and surrounding assets
- Moomba Port Bonython Liquids Line
- Port Bonython plant and associated assets
- Moomba Carbon Capture Storage Project
- Operations support to SA Midstream assets
- Providing support to the Senior Environmental Advisor Midstream with Darwin Liquified Natural Gas (DLNG) Plant and Santos GLNG Curtis Island
- Provide advice on licencing requirements, timelines and information requirements for relevant projects (SEO and SA EPA Licencing)
- Maintaining knowledge of approvals and legislation relevant to each asset
- Track compliance against relevant approvals
- Assurance auditing against licencing requirements, legislation and Santos Management Systems (SMS) according to the Audit Schedule
- Provide support for incident management including reporting
- Ensure high quality environmental data quality and analysis of incidents.
- Provide sound environmental advice to ad-hoc questions from asset personnel
- Participate in risk assessments representing Environment
- Conduct site visits as required
- Review and update relevant management plans for the asset

**This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod.**

**Location for this assignment is Adelaide CBD, working full-time office hours, on a 5:2 roster.**

**About you**

You will ideally be experienced in:

- Contributing to a team working on environmentally sensitive projects
- Intermediate level of competency in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and policies
- Previous experience as an Environmental Advisor within the oil and gas industry will be highly regarded, but not essential
