Instructional Designer

Due to continuous growth, we have an opportunity for an experienced Instructional Designer to join our Learning and Development function.

**What your day will look like**:
We are looking for an Instructional Designer with a positive, professional outlook, who is passionate about people, development, and driving change through personal-professional literacy across our amazing business.
- As Instructional Designer at MFG you will partner with stakeholders to review feedback and data insights to scope and validate training needs to gain a complete understanding of the business and learner needs.
- Identify how training needs connect with other parts of the business, and identify when other stakeholders need to be involved, and act as a change agent.
- Own the end-to-end development of assets including but not limited to filming and editing videos, preparing eLearning modules, virtual classrooms, curating content, preparing resources, building presentations, facilitator guides and activities, infographics, and new mediums.
- Partner with SMEs to generate and obtain content, curating and editing to align to the learning needs.
- Provide expert advice to Training Specialists on the design and development of their functional programs.
- Support cross team training delivery such as hosting training sessions, breakout discussions and play a supporting role in the delivery of virtual classrooms and online events.

What you will need to bring to this role
- Experience in developing high quality, engaging training materials and resources to suit the needs of diverse cohorts
- Formal education in one or more of the following areas preferred: multimedia, graphic design, instructional design, psychology, education, or workplace training.
- Experience as a mid to senior level instructional design, crafting learning for customer facing and corporate audiences.
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and attention to detail skills, to coordinate tasks and projects with a high-volume workload.
- Communication, confidence, and interpersonal skills for influencing and liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong computer skills, with the digital savvy to explore and learn new systems and tools to innovative design.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management experience with diverse functional leads, managing project timelines and resources.
- Experience supporting the generation of content from a blank page, through interviews, research, SME's relationships.
- Fluency in digital tools such as Articulate the articulate suite, with exposure to other course authoring programs.
- Experience filming and editing videos, with exposure to crafting video storyboards. Exposure to the project cycle from design through to implementation.
- Proven ability to build highly effective consultative and collaborative relationships.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, tourism, leisure, or a similar fast paced industry preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail.
