Are you an accomplished leader with a proven track record of success in and overseeing the operations of a $20 million AUD plus size business unit? We are partnering with an international market leader and have exceptional opportunity for a dynamic individual to join them as General Manager of their Melbourne Southeastern Site.

**About the role**:
As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering the organisation to new heights. Your strategic acumen and proven leadership abilities will be instrumental in driving business operations. We are seeking a visionary leader who can uphold our client's reputation and maintain their position as an industry frontrunner.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and execute a robust growth strategy to propel the company's international market presence.
- Lead cross-functional teams and departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and synergy.
- Implement and optimize a direct business model, leveraging your previous experience to drive results.
- Establish and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee budget allocation and expense optimization to ensure financial success.
- Provide leadership and guidance to cultivate a motivated and high-performing workforce.
- Drive operational efficiency, continuously evaluating processes and implementing improvements.
- Monitor market trends, competition, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align business objectives and drive corporate initiatives.
**Required skills & experience**:
- Proven track record as a General Manager or similar executive leadership role.
- Experience working with a direct business model and a strong understanding of its nuances.
- Demonstrated success in selling to builders and contractors.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and resource management.
- An engineering and/or manufacturing background
- An MBA is advantageous
