Our client, Baiada is an iconic Australian business that is renowned for its premium chicken & poultry products.

Baiada require a WHSE Compliance Officer to coordinate and maintain Workplace Health, Safety and Environmental compliance for a busy poultry production plant. This role is very fast-paced and varied, offering an immediate start, and an opportunity to learn and grow with an industry leader

**About the role**

You will work with the site Supervisors and Operations Managers to ensure compliance with all relevant Legislation, Policies, Guidelines and Codes of Practice relating to the site's Workplace Health and Safety. This role ensures an understanding of the environmental impacts of day-to-day activities whilst always striving for continuous improvement.

**The successful applicant will have**:

- A knowledge of quality systems, WHS and environmental procedures
- A commitment to work to Baiada safety standards and ISO requirements
- The ability to liaise with personnel on all levels
- The ability to work unsupervised and have good time management
- Ability to maintain and record data through various systems
- Show initiative across all aspects of the role

**Essential Requirements**:

- Formal qualification with industry experience or working towards a qualification in Environmental Management and/ or WHS
- Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia (legally entitled to work in Australia).

**Preferred Skills and Experience**:

- Knowledge of ISO 14001, SQF and WHS systems, particularly ISO4801
- Working knowledge of environmental issues and consequences of pollution breaches
- Experience in conducting safety and environmental inspection
