**The Role**:Strategic Financial Analyst ‍

Do you like working in the detail but having the ability to provide a strategic lens? We are looking for an experienced Finance Analyst with a strategic focus to join our Financial Services team and make an impact in our rapidly growing community.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Lead the delivery of City of Playford Long Term Financial Plan and identify and implement opportunities to further mature the Plan.
- Lead reviews and projects with a strategic focus and coordinate implementation of identified improvement opportunities.
- Support the budget and financial components of the Annual Business Plan.
- Lead rates modelling and strategic periodic review of rating processes and structures.
- Provide financial and prudential reporting for use by internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the financial impact of potential and current initiatives are thoroughly analysed and effectively communicated to key-decision-makers.
- Provide options to key internal stakeholders for funding and investment in development plans that support the financial sustainability of the City.
- Provide timely and accurate advice on financial planning including the development of effective financial modelling on future projections and growth pressures.
- Accurate and consistent evaluation and risk assessment of Council’s long
- term financial position, underpinning the development of financial strategy and forecasting for inclusion in various Council plans.

**What you’ll bring to our team**

The successful applicant will ideally be tertiary qualified in Economics, Finance or a related field and hold their CPA and or/CA qualifications (or relevant experience).

In addition you will have:

- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written form, with proven experience in building and maintaining positive relationships with critical internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively under mínimal supervision, whilst meeting deadlines, priority setting and planning and organising of own work.
- A passion and commitment for delivering positive outcomes for the Community.
- Effective investigative skills and the ability to take evidence, prepare and serve notices, give directions and institute legal proceedings.
