We are seeking a passionate and motivated _**Full Time Functions Manager**_. This position plays an important role in driving the long-term success of the venue’s functions and events, including maximising the use of the facilities and providing excellent customer service to all guests. Our renovations are now complete so it’s a great opportunity to make your mark in this exciting role. As the Functions Manager you will need to have a passion for creating and coordinating fantastic functions and events that will leave our customers wanting more. You will be responsible for planning, organising and executing various functions and events from small community gatherings to large industry conferences. We are offering an attractive salary for the right person to take on this exciting role.

The successful applicant will have experience in managing functions and events, along with the following knowledge and skills:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position;
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to work autonomously;
- A sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher;
- A knowledge of OpenTable, Swiftpos and Rooming It booking system an advantage;
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral;
- Handling all administrative aspect of events, including the preparation of quotes, invoices, run sheets, payment processing and account settlement;
- Current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate;
- Ability to prepare quotations for clients and convert into business;
- Seamless execution of functions from enquiry through to final feedback after the event, including liaising with third party contractors;
- Hands on approach to setting up, running and packing down functions;
- Ability to identify opportunities to drive function sales, build the customer data base and translate into business outcomes;
- A hands-on approach to leading a team;
- A friendly, self-motivated personality with excellent people skills;
- Ability to work within a budget and maintain KPI’s.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Public holidays
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Function Manager: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
