The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Allied Health Clinical Educator (Mental Health and Specialist Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Demonstrate a high level of clinical knowledge and skills in managing a clinical caseload
Plan, develop, facilitate, implement and evaluate evidence based clinical education to support practice within the unit
Coordinate clinical education programs for pre-entry students and new graduate allied health staff
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work
AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist and Psychologist only)
Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only)
Blue card / Working with children check (Social Worker only)
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Base salary ranging from $128 169 - $137 918 per annum

Mental Health and Specialist Services (MHSS), Gold Coast Health provide integrated hospital and community-based specialised mental health assessment and treatment services across the age spectrum.
Age specific services include child and youth, and adult and older person mental health models of care.
Clinical Education enhances the development of staff through a range of functions including orientation, new graduate and student programs, achieving minimum competency through to advanced practice skills, facilitate mentoring and professional supervision, helping to drive the implementation of new processes and procedures.
