The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Allied Health Assistant to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide a range of clinical screening assessments as prescribed by Allied Health Professionals
- Use a high level communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders in order to provide professional services
- Collaborate with the Rehabilitation Response Team (RRT) multidisciplinary team to ensure effective use of resources, supporting quality outcomes

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance would be well regarded
- Blue Card (valid working with children check)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Temporary full time (3 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $2355.90 - $2476.60 per fortnight

About Us
This role works within the Rehabilitation Response Team (RRT) Service. The RRT is a specialised, multi-disciplinary service that follows a shared care model to provide rehabilitation services for inpatients in an acute ward setting (inreach rehabilitation). Within this, the RRT provides assessment and management of all referrals for inreach and inpatient rehabilitation services, the Complex Management Unit and rehabilitation episodes of care via clinical intent. Based in Southport.
