A Product Insights Analyst (SQL / BigQuery) is required to join an exciting new capability within a well known reputable retail client.

This will be a strategically focused, data, modelling and analytics capability that will drive high-impact, customer-led decisions to create step change in business processes, capability and customer experience.

The Product Insights Analyst (SQL / BigQuery) sits within Data Products among data scientists and engineers to support the development and maintenance of customer value framework and build analytics and insights capability to support the tribe.

Day to day duties for the Product Insights Analyst (SQL / BigQuery) include:

- All analysts operate independently in their squads and have to be self
- sufficient in managing their own time, prioritisation and relationships.
- Gather requirements, scope work, and work consultatively with the Squad Lead to plan and deliver measurement support for the data products.
- Conduct data analysis using SQL and Big Query
- Maintain documentation on analytical approaches for uplift measurement
- Maintain good relationships with collaborators within Data Products and

stakeholders primarily across marketing and ecommerce.

The Product Insights Analyst (SQL / BigQuery) will:

- Work closely with data scientists to develop framework and implementation for customer value uplift measurement
- Perform ad hoc analysis using SQL and other tools of your choice, and present findings to broad range of audience
- Build self-service reporting tools as appropriate.
- Propose opportunities for conducting A/B tests, and lead the implementation of testing plans
- Proactively share knowledge with other analysts and use Chapter time to keep learning new analytical techniques.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with data science, advanced analytics, marketing and ecommerce.

Essential skills required for the Product Insights Analyst (SQL / BigQuery) include:

- Excellent communication skills, with good written English
- Highly skilled in writing complex SQL code.
- Understanding of statistical techniques preferred, especially w.r.t to pseudo
- experimental structures, such as difference-in-difference or propensity score

matching
- 2-3+ years experience in data analysis and insights
- Strong visual presentation skills and ability to present to both technical and non-technical crowd
- Experience driving insights from data and presenting the findings with

recommendations to different sets of stakeholders
- Ability to think clearly about the underlying business problems and to consultatively

recommend data-driven approaches to solving them
- Ability to manage workload and relationships in a complex, multi-stakeholder

environment
- It would be great to have insights analysis experience within retail or eCommerce
- Good to have exposure to Big Query and Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of statistical modelling
- Experience with Agile methodologies (ideal)
