**Policy Officer**

- Clerk Grade 7/8 with a salary range of $110,266 - $122,058 per annum plus superannuation

**About the role**

The Policy Officer supports the development and implementation of innovative policy initiatives to foster a vibrant, diverse, safe and productive 24-hour economy. Working closely with stakeholders such as hospitality, retail, and small businesses, councils, and cultural organisations, the role plays a key part in creating thriving nighttime precincts. You will contribute to research, program evaluation, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project management, helping to shape policies that enhance community safety, economic activity, and cultural vibrancy across the 24-hour economy. This is a dynamic opportunity to influence meaningful change and deliver impactful outcomes for businesses and communities.

**About You**

You are a proactive and adaptable professional with demonstrated experience in policy development, including preparing materials for Cabinet and Parliament. You excel at managing competing demands and tight timeframes while delivering practical solutions to complex issues. Skilled in engaging with diverse stakeholders, you have excellent communication skills and are confident navigating priorities to achieve impactful outcomes. Experience in planning, local government, or liquor licensing will be highly regarded, as will your ability to quickly assimilate information and contribute to innovative policy initiatives that drive the success of the 24-hour economy.
