**The Role**
Army Aviation System Program Office (AASPO) is commencing transition of our Attack Reconnaissance Helicopter (ARH) from service. This transition is expected to be complete by approximately 2028 dependent on Government decisions. AASPO is currently looking for an experienced Commercial Contract Team Lead who will manage a team of experienced officers through the busy withdrawal and disposal process. Following contract closure of the ARH, new platforms are being introduced into service within Army Aviation with exciting opportunities available.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. For further information, please contact the contact officer.

**About our Team**
Army Aviation Systems Program Office (AASPO) is responsible for the sustainment of the ARH Tiger. AASPO is located in South East Queensland, with offices in the Brisbane CBD. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-value, advanced Defence capabilities, whilst being rewarded with a professional, inclusive and supportive team. AASPO supports career development through a comprehensive professional development program, encouraging employees to build both leadership and technical skills and harnesses continuous improvement ideas and innovations.

You will have high levels of flexibility to respond to changing priorities and challenges of the work environment. Sound decision-making and judgment skills; excellent communication; and stakeholder engagement skills are key attributes required for the position. You will also actively participate in teamwork, group activities and contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
