Senior Contract Administrator

Job Summary:

This Senior Commercial Contracts role provides technical contracts administration and oversight for commercial activities within allocated projects, reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager with a delegation to support projects in delivery.

  • Administration of upstream Head Contract and downstream Supply/Subcontracts
  • Prepare and review contract notices and variations for internal review
  • Maintain commercial registers
  • Ensure performance and delivery of project scope
  • Assess event impacts, manage claims and extensions of time (EOTs)
  • Support accurate progress claims, forecasting, and reporting
  • Follow contract manuals and lead change management, including design changes
  • Cordinate prompt issuance of subcontracts and supply contracts, ensuring compliance
  • Drive contract management processes, including variation and change claims
  • Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, finance, legal, controls)
  • Assist in negotiations and dispute resolution; provide data for upstream claims
  • Prepare summaries and reports for Leadership and Executive teams as required

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Law, Commerce, Engineering, or similar
  • Extensive experience in commercial/contract management for construction, services, or manufacturing
  • Familiarity with InEight is advantageous
  • Expertise in both traditional and collaborative contracting
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communicator in multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of warranty, defects, acceptance, testing, and commissioning
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and lead teams to resolve issues
