**The Children's Psychology Clinic** is a well-established private practice with two locations - North Parramatta and Crows Nest. We also have a thriving adult clinic - **the Northern Sydney Psychology Clinic & Western Sydney Psychology Practice. **We have a strong reputation for excellent work and our clinicians can provide both therapy and/ or assessments.

We are a unique team of child and adolescent-focused psychologists, counsellors, and psychotherapists who are compassionate, professional and genuine.

**About the role**

We are looking for a Senior Intake Officer / Medical Receptionist to join our busy and vibrant psychology practice located in North Parramatta.

You will be the first point of contact for members of the community. You will be attending to a high volume of calls and inquires and provide general administrative support.

This is a casual position with the option to become permanent. Days of work required are at least 3, but this is flexible and could be more. This will depend on your fit with the practice and its needs.

You will be managing and supporting staff members and overseeing the day-to-day functions of the practice. You will most likely have junior staff to assist you and volunteers to train (and assist you) at different points in time.

The primary responsibilities of the role include:

- Being a helpful and positive person in our reception area and on the phone with persons who might be struggling.
- Booking in new clients via a careful match system and intake script.
- Administrative / office duties such as invoicing, reconciling payments, managing appointment books, processing Medicare claims.
- Managing the intake process and waitlist.
- Keeping the practice COVID compliant.

Essential criteria:

- Excellent communication skills. Must be empathetic and warm when speaking to members of the community.
- Proactive and able to work independently.
- Great attention to detail and is highly organised.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing demands.
- Strong work ethic and able to handle sensitive information according to guidelines.
- Experience with technology and practice management software.
- Competent in using Windows office programs (Word and Excel).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual, Graduate
Part-time hours: 8-20 per week

**Salary**: $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
