Public Sector People are working with a local council to recruit a Assets Data & GIS Officer for a temporary contract assignment.

**Position Overview**:
As an Assets Data and GIS Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing infrastructure data integrity, ensuring alignment with specified requirements, and updating the council's Asset Management System (Oracle - WACS). Your responsibilities will include overseeing the Geographic Information System (GIS) related to infrastructure assets data, supporting asset management functions, providing crucial assets data for financial registration, and collaborating closely with various operational teams.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Managing infrastructure data (spatial and assets) to meet requirements and update the Asset Management System.
- Overseeing the council's Geographic Information System (GIS) concerning infrastructure assets data.
- Supporting the Coordinator Asset Management in ongoing asset management functions.
- Providing Finance Department with relevant assets data for financial registration.
- Collaborating with the Assets System Administrator to assist operational teams with data and system needs.
- Addressing infrastructure assets inquiries related to data collection, attributes, and spatial components.
