Be responsible for a new grant program to support better digital connectivity on farms
**Your new company**
This accomplished Federal Government Department based in the heart of the Canberra City is responsible for developing policies and regulation for the safety and standards of our Nation. They are seeking an EL1 Program Manager to join their lively and dynamic team. Due to a recent restructure, your new team is seeking the additional support.

**Your new role**
You will be responsible for implementing a new grant program from the recent Federal Government Election. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Lead the implementation of the grant program design including feedback and submissions from open consultations on a discussion paper.
- Engage closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Support negotiations including on the design of the program and grant guidelines.
- Prepare high quality and strategic briefs and advice for the Minister, Executive and Assistant Secretary on the program.
- Handle media and other ad hoc enquiries and developing responses.
- Work effectively in a small team and manage junior staff.

**What you'll need to succeed**
You will have worked in program design and implementation areas within the Federal Government. You will also have:

- Analytical skills including the ability to problem solve and identify risk and benefits.
- A written and verbal communication style that is clear, concise and readily understood by the intended audience.
- Demonstrated coordination and organisation skills with a focus on program development and implementation.
- The ability to build relationships and partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders and influence them to achieve agreed outcomes.

To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
