**Your new role**
The main function of the directorate is to provide high level, strategic advice and support in relation to legal issues, strategy, project management, governance, risk management, audit, compliance, committee secretariat matters and support across the full contract management and procurement life cycle.

Key Responsibilities of the Role Includes:

- Providing leadership and direction in FRV contract management discipline, working with Manager Procurement and Category Managers to provide advice and to influence the management of FRV contracts. Providing recommendations and advice on related contract management issues.
- Prepare advice and the development of contract management plans that identify strategic risks, challenges and opportunities, preparing reports and briefings to influence executive level planning and decision making.
- In partnership with Manager Procurement and Legal Office, provide advice and input into the development and implementation of FRV contracts.
- Undertake regular review FRV's contracts and provide advice that identify improvements
- Provide input and assist Category Managers in the management of contracts.

**What you'll need to succeed**
As an experienced contracts specialist this position requires a forward-thinking contract manager, that has excellent stakeholder engagement, ability to influence stakeholders and a problem solver.

Attributes and skills required to be successful in this role include:

- A positive, upbeat and ‘can do’ attitude and ability to thrive in a changing and dynamic environment
- Ability to mitigate and identify strategic risks, challenges, and opportunities
- At least 5 years sourcing and contract management experience.
- Sound knowledge in best strategic sourcing practices customer focused with excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and implement complex sourcing and contract management activities in compliance with Vic Government Procurement Guidelines.
- Ability to undertake complex and medium to high-risk contract negotiations to achieve best outcomes.
