Always putting our clients’ needs first, we’ve helped evaluate and implement new and emerging technologies to help develop the grid of the future and power a more sustainable world. **Role Summary**
The **Market Systems Manager (MSM) **leads and is responsible for sales, project delivery and people management activities within the Market Systems business unit in the Australia region. The MSM reports to the General Manager Market Systems, and must work collaboratively with other Managers and team members across the region to deliver on PSC’s key objectives and results (OKRs) in the region. This includes co-design and execution of strategy, and derivation of tactics to win in the market.
You will be reporting to the GM, Energy Solutions and you will have expertise in:
**Business Development**
- Assessing and converting opportunities in the market that will support the achievement of individual billable hours and the Market Systems financial targets
- Preparing tender submissions and proposals with assistance from other members of PSC.
- Performing client relationship management activities that position PSC for future engagements as well as branding PSC as a trusted, credible, provider of choice
- Supporting the General Manager, Energy Solutions and Sales & Marketing Lead in winning work and exploring new project opportunities and clients
- Identifying and supporting the cross selling of other PSC services
**Account Management**
Liaise regularly with the key PSC customers to ensure that all service and project tasks are completed to a high standard and to customer satisfaction. This includes:
- Supervising SLA reporting for long term service contracts
- Represent the PSC at client and PSC run social events
- Act as the Account Manager for East Coast clients and support other PSC managers with the Account Management function in APAC
**Team Leadership**
- Provide direct leadership of the East Coast based Market Systems consultants.
This includes:
Developing a team of highly capable Market Systems Consultants to support East Coast demands in the Energy transition
- Building a high-performance culture through effective performance management, communication and coaching of staff and contractors consistent with PSC’s values and behaviors
- Mentoring and training consultants to enable the delivery of quality consulting services to clients, provide broader career development for individuals and create succession plans
- Working with the General Manager and the Managing Director APAC in the selection and development of technical talent within the team, and in initiatives to develop and grow the Market Systems service group for PSC East Coast
- Providing regular reports on team performance
**Staff Management**
- Ensure that all staff are well engaged and are satisfied with job roles and remuneration
- Take active steps to ensure that any staff issues are addressed as soon as practical
- Regularly visit staff on client sites and remote offices to ensure continuity of contact with PSC management
- Recruit new staff where required
- Provide feedback to the General Manager on staff performance (both good and bad) and other staff issues
- Complete annual performance reviews for all Market Systems staff based on the East Coast
**Consulting Work**
- Delivering individual, hands-on consulting services on projects as a member of a project team, as the Project / Delivery Manager, or offering strategic and / or technical advisory services
- Achieving individual billable hours or utilisation targets (50%) that contribute to the APAC region budgets
- Ensuring individual career development to maintain technical expertise and keep abreast of industry developments
**Project / Job Management**
- Leading the technical delivery of allocated projects including providing technical reviews to ensure high quality outcomes for clients
- Managing the commercial performance of projects within budgets and ensuring timely and accurate invoicing
- Managing client relationships during the execution of consulting services with a strong focus on creating sustainable relationships that result in repeat business
Bachelor’s degree or greater / Post-grad business study preferred
**Experience**:
Minimum 10-years in the Energy sector with Minimum 2-years team lead experience
