CHOICE is one of Australia's leading advocates for consumer rights. As the public face of the not-for-profit Australian Consumers' Association, we are a completely self-funded body that has been committed to serving consumers since 1959.

We provide our members with independent and expert advice on essential purchase decisions, campaign for consumer rights, and fearlessly call out dodgy or misleading business practices.

About the role*

Reporting to the CEO’s Executive Assistant and working in collaboration with the People & Culture Team (5) you will be the face of CHOICE for visitors and staff alike.
- Greeting visitors to the CHOICE offices
- Ensuring the office entry and working spaces are welcoming and well-presented
- Receiving and distributing inbound and sending outbound deliveries and mail
- Ensuring office supplies and shared spaces including reception, entry ways, kitchens, toilets and meeting rooms are clean and well stocked
- Assisting colleagues with internal communications to staff (company wide calendars, announcements and posters etc)
- Helping coordinate and participating in staff-led initiatives and events
- Ensuring office operations are well documented and staff and visitors can easily access resources and navigate the facilities
- Supporting the EA with the coordination of supplies, refreshments and catering for on-site board meetings and other important company events
- Support the People & Culture team and WH&S manager with other administration tasks and ad hoc projects

This role offers a variety of responsibilities and challenges in a friendly and diverse organisation doing important work for Australian consumers.

About you*
You have experience in a receptionist, customer service or clerical role and enjoy building relationships with and regularly helping others.
- Familiarity with and willingness to work in an office setting full time
- Well developed interpersonal and organisation skills
- An interest in not for profit or social enterprise organisations

Above all you are reliable, proactive and keen to take on responsibility for improving the day to day running of the CHOICE office and facilities.
