**About the organisation**:
Our client is a Community Services organisation that assists people and communities by offering pathways to employment, whilst helping individuals adjust to changing employment conditions. Through state government funded employment services, vocational education and training, this not-for-profit organisation works with the long term unemployed, and tailors training and support to individual needs and local circumstances.

**About the role**:
As an Industry Engagement Partner, you will primarily be working with local employers to find innovative ways to support “job ready” clients into sustainable work. Using your polished influencing and relationship building skills you will be able to establish long-term and rewarding connections with local businesses, organisations and jobseekers alike.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales / business development professional to work for a values based not-for-profit organisation that is making a difference to the lives of many people.

You will be community and performance focused as this role is targeted and has KPIs around sustainable job placements that meet clients’ needs and expectations.

In addition, you will be professional and able to work within procedural guidelines, using a database to log details, notes and create progress reports on each client.

**Skills and experience required**:

- Exceptional networking and rapport building skills
- Understanding of the recruitment process
- A results and outcomes focused approach and the ability to meet and exceed KPIs and targets
- An insight and understanding into the significant barriers facing people living with a disability and the long-term unemployed
- Willing to conduct business development activities with local business and community organisations, including attending networking events
- Excellent ability to think “out-side of the box” when identifying or creating sustainable vacancies for clients
- Demonstrated qualities of resilience, empathy, integrity and compassion
- A good understanding of local labour market issues
- Excellent time management and organisational ability
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- A driving licence and a willingness to travel locally; and
- The ability to obtain a current clear Police Check and Working with Children Check.
